Use a tape measure to find the distance from the center of the button to the center of the buttonhole. This measurement will ensure that your new shirt's collar feels just right, neither too tight nor too loose. Since your shirt may have shrunk from years of wash and wear, we will add just a bit to allow for future shrinking.

Next, measure the chest to guarantee a flattering and comfortable fit. With the shirt laid flat, buttoned up and facing up, measure from one armpit seam to the other. This measurement should be taken at the widest point of the shirt to account for your full chest circumference. Multiply the measurement by two ( x2) for your finished shirt chest measurement.
